CeCe, I, and my son went to Pyramid last weekend. Fished Saturday and Sunday. Pulled our Motorhome down and our boat up on Pelican Beach. Water way down (probably 3 foot). Weather absolutely georgeous, no wind; but sun very bright. Lots of boats out but only three travel trailers on the beach. Fishing was spotty. We thoroughly fished up around the point North and all the way South down to the Nets and back. Saw two others flyfishing; one from a chair and another off the rocks. Tried several flies on sinking lines (Woolybugger, Copper John, Grasshopper, Beetle). We could see the fish plentiful down between 15 and 25 feet. Water temp was 58 degrees on the surface. No bites. Tried trolling a purple woolybugger to no avail. I think the Halloween Goblins spooked them. Finally began trolling with sthingys and caught four keepers between 17" and 20". Talked to the record keeper on the way out of the Reservation and an 11 pounder was caught at Warrior's Point. Fish On!
